The GrammarMetric method Everyone says “small classes.” Here is what I actually do.
The same system runs behind IELTS prep and private lessons. Four steps, from the first level check to the progress report at the end of term. No part of it is a secret, so you can judge it before you pay for anything.

Nothing here changes because you picked IELTS instead of private lessons. What changes is the content poured into it.
2 · Six students at most
Speak in every lesson
Groups of 6 or fewer, paired, or one-to-one. At this size there is no back row to hide in, so you produce English every session.
3 · On your own device
Practise between lessons
Homework is usually something I built: vocabulary and grammar drilled with spaced repetition inside a real browser game. Your results come back to class.
4 · Every term
See the progress
Scores tracked from the first session to the end of term, so improvement is a number you can look at, not a feeling.
Published course books, not photocopies.
Anyone can print a worksheet. I teach from Cambridge English's published series, so your progress maps onto a standard that exists outside this building.
These are the same internationally benchmarked books used in accredited programmes worldwide.
The books carry the syllabus. The games I build carry the drilling, which is the part books have always been bad at.
- Mindset for IELTS. How each part of the exam works, and how to answer it under time pressure.
- Cambridge Vocabulary for IELTS. The academic and topic words that move bands, learned in context rather than as word lists.
- Common Mistakes at IELTS. The specific errors that quietly cap scores, found and fixed one at a time.
One lesson. Everyone at their own level.
Small classes often span two or three levels at once. The usual fix is to teach the middle and let both ends drift.
Mine is different: the lesson runs on a main screen, and each student follows the same moment on their own device, written at their level. Same activity, same timing, vocabulary and support tuned per student. Nobody is bored and nobody is lost.
It is also what makes a true hybrid class possible rather than a compromise: a student at home is on the same screen, at the same moment, as a student in the room in Bangkapi.
- Same lesson, many views. I drive one screen; every device stays in step with it.
- Levelled per skill. Strong reader, weaker writer? You are placed separately on each, not averaged into one label.
- Works from anywhere. Students in the room and students joining online follow the identical lesson.
What I will not do
Placement I am willing to argue about.
If the scan says Foundation and you wanted Upper-Intermediate, I will tell you. Putting a student in a class that flatters them wastes a term and their money, and it is the most common way language schools quietly fail people.
The demo class is free precisely so this conversation happens before you pay.

What does "small group" actually mean at GrammarMetric?
A hard cap of 6 students in an in-person group class, with paired and one-to-one formats available too. It is a cap, not an average: the class does not grow to 10 because demand was high that term.
How does a hybrid English class work in practice?
The lesson runs on a main screen in the classroom in Bangkapi. Every student, in the room or online, follows the same moment of the same lesson on their own device, written at their own level. Same activity, same timing, support tuned per student.
How do you decide which class I start in?
Two checks. A free 3-minute online placement scan gives a first reading, then the teacher confirms it in your free demo class, because a vocabulary quiz cannot hear you speak. If the two disagree, the teacher wins.
